Arch pain is the result of inflammation at the arch of the foot. This can come from a skeletal imbalance or injury, but is typically the result of excessive stretching of the broad band of tissue along the bottom of the foot, a condition known as plantar fasciitis.
Arch pain may also be caused by wearing shoes with inadequate support, standing or walking for long periods of time in high heels, or overuse of the feet during work or sports. Being overweight also places additional stress on the feet, especially the arches.
"Therafit sneakers have the perfect arch support for plantar fasciitis sufferers. I wear them and recommend them to my patients."
