Therafit Shoe for Ball of Foot Pain
The ball of the foot is the section of the foot between your arch and toes. As you walk, your weight is shifted from your heel to the ball of your foot. If your body weight is not well aligned over the ball of your foot, pain and swelling of the area can occur.
As we age, we generally lose the fat pad underneath the ball of the foot, leading to abnormal pressure and shock to the area. People with extremely high arches or those who are overweight may also experience ball of foot pain.
Solution: Use insoles designed to lift and separate the long bones of the arch, transferring pressure away from the ball of foot area
Therafit’s superior arch support, along with the deep heel cup, found in the removable sock lining insoles lift and support your foot
Limit how often you wear high heels as they can cause an unnatural shift of weight to the balls of your feet.
Heel Pain & Plantar Fasciitis
The heel is the first bone to contact the ground when walking and absorbs the full force of impact and the proceeding shock of bearing weight during motion.
The most common cause of heel pain or arch pain is plantar fasciitis. Plantar fasciitis is a stretching of the plantar fascia, a ligament that runs from the ball of the foot through the arch and is connected to the heel. The ligament can become aggravated and auses pain after being on your feet for long lengths of time. Abnormal motion of the foot (pronation) is one cause of plantar fasciitis.
Solution: Wear proper shoes when exercising with arch supports and heel cups that evenly distribute weight throughout your feet. This injury responds well to ice and elevation. Foot massage may offer some additional relief.

Arch pain may also be caused by wearing shoes with inadequate support, standing or walking for long periods of time in high heels, or overuse of the feet during work or sports. Being overweight also places additional stress on the feet, especially the arches.

Back Pain
Back pain typically is the result of the strain on the muscles surrounding the spine. However, it can also be the result of foot and leg imbalances resulting in the improper distribution of weight on your feet. This repetitive action puts an even greater strain on your entire skeletal structure. While it is not always possible to prevent back pain, wearing the proper footwear, along with maintaining a healthy weight, along with a regular stretching and strengthening program can all help to alleviate this problem.
As the heel repeatedly strikes the ground, shock waves can travel up the legs to the lumbar region of the spine or lower back, where they can aggravate back muscles and cause pain.
