Using only 3 ingredients that most of us already have in our homes, make this simple tea and reap all the deliciously nutritious and natural benefits.
Raw honey helps strengthen the immune system, stabilizes blood pressure, and relieves a sore throat. (raw and local is best)!
Ginger possess some of the strongtest anti-inflammatory properties found in nature.
Lemon alkalizes the body and is packed with Vitamin C. We're not sure if superheroes drink tea, but if they do, this would be it!
Rinse the lemon and ginger thoroughly.
Thinly slice the lemon and ginger and put them in a glass container (mason jar or otherwise).
Pour about a cup of honey over the lemon and ginger slices. Allow the mixture to sit overnight before making your first cup of tea, as it will intensify the flavors, and who doesn't like that?
The tea will keep for about two weeks in the fridge.
While water is boiling, mix the lemon, ginger and honey in the jar.
Scoop out 1 tablespoon of liquid mixture and place into a mug, then pour the boiling water over top.
You can always add some extra lemon slices from the jar for more of a kick.
